Nelson Ferreira is a naturally gifted entrepreneur and leader renowned for his forward-thinking approach and exceptional instinct in hiring the right people to bring his vision to life. In 1988, Nelson embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by creating Ferreira Trucking Inc. in New Jersey. Since then, he has expanded his vision of diversity and growth.
To extend operations to the Gulf region, Nelson founded Ferreira Power South, a member of the Ferreira Family of Companies.

Kirby Carter joined Ferreira Power South in 2023, bringing over 30 years of experience in the electrical utility construction industry. As President, Kirby oversees the growth and development of Ferreira Power South, managing operations across the United States. He ensures that all company resources are deployed safely, efficiently, and professionally on all projects, maintaining budget and schedule adherence. Kirby also monitors project objectives, company policies and procedures, and the performance standards of all field personnel.
Kirby's extensive knowledge of the industry provides invaluable insights that enhance productivity and effectiveness in all aspects of project execution. His long-standing relationships within the industry have been instrumental in the continued success of projects under his supervision.
